Default Office 2007 and 2010: Your opinion?

I'm still using Office 2003 because I can't stand the "ribbon bar" in 2007 and 2010 and do not see how it makes anything easier. In fact, it makes everything more difficult for me because I'm so used to 2003's menus.

Am I missing something?

Default re 2007

Just got my MCAS in Word and going for Excel Thursday, I also resisted the change having worked with 2003 for a long time. It's like most things, you get used to it after a while and the change does not seem so bad.
Is it any better? Good question, If you use the programs all day every day I can see that 2007, (can't comment on 2010) would speed things up, as a lot of the lesser used features are in the office button submenu, thus allowing quicker access to the more commonly used features.
But if you are happy with what you have why change? There is nothing I see that would make me change to it for personal use. PowerPoint however, is vastly improved in features with 2007 over 2003.
Anyway just some musings,

I've been using Office 2007 for about 3 years, and I still don't find the ribbon to be as easy to use as Office 2003 was.

I completely agree with you Ken.

I think the ribbon might make sense to a user brand new to windows and office, but after using Office since the earliest days of Word, I still have to keep referring to help to find certain functions that used to be easy to find in the Edit and View menus.

I had to upgrade to Office 2007 because of work.. Yes it took awhile but I have gotten used to it.. I do not even want to think about upgrading again. Plus I am still on XP.
