There’s nothing more frustrating than trying to uninstall a program, only to have it tell you that “installation failed,” with no indication of how or why.
That’s what happens with Zune. Solution: Go to UnZoone and download the Zune removal tool. Jeez. __________________

Thanks, that's good info. I have never tried to uninstall Zune, but I have had difficulty with updates and kept getting installation failed notices. I was ready to uninstall when it finally worked.

I've had several program uninstalls fail and it usually turns out be be one or more DLLs loaded in memory and flagged as active. So far I haven't had anything that I couldn't uninstall by re-booting, hitting the F8 key and running in SAFE mode for the uninstall. Once the program is removed, boot again in normal mode.
