Default Google TV is coming

I see Google is advertising the coming of Google TV. Sounds like they want to ultimately replace cable TV or something. Maybe they want to outdo Hulu. Will be interesting to see what develops out of this. Any thoughts?

Very interesting. Sounds essentially like a search service for televisions. Here's a high-level overview:

It is interesting, and thanks for the link.

I for one would be all for streaming television and on-demand viewing. Comcast, with the lauch of Xfinity is also touting TV on your PC and on-demand. One of the issues I have with that though is at the same time they are encouraging more internet usage and media streaming, they are implementing monthly bandwidth quotas which, if exceeded, could cause termination of service.

I sure hope all this is available in Canada as well. There are some things that are restricted from streaming into Canada. Take for example certain radio stations in Seattle and Madison that I used to listen to while in Canada. Now a message appears that these are not available online in Canada. I think it may have something to do with copyright but don't really know. We don't want to pay for online service in two countries so we have internet in Canada but not in the US.
