Default Software

So, I'm interested to hear the software packages everyone uses for their photography work. I think for the most part I use Photoshop CS or Photoshop LE depending on which computer I'm using etc. I also use GIMP on Linux from time to time but I'm not really that good with it yet so I tend to avoid it if I have a deadline to meet.

I also do some production graphic work from time to time. While Photoshop works for most smaller projects I find Illustrator or Inkscape better because they are vector based packages.

Jon.

Sure a lot of different software packages represented here. What makes a software package useful to you, e.g., ease of use, sophistication, applicability to a specific need (if so which one), etc.?
