Hard to say. Have you tried CDBurnerXP? Sometimes another app is the first step in troubleshooting.

I was once advised by a tech support person that if Roxio was having issues, I should download Nero.

Nero is great. Been using it for years.

I have both programs on separate partitions. My LG/Nero/Power DVD will not play dolby audio unless I buy an upgrade (stuff it Nero), I just use the Roxio 2010 suite including Lightscribe etc. and it's perfect and much more complete than Nero ie: making boot DVD's etc.

I have installed the latest Roxio, and it works. However, that app has grown into quite a bloatware package over the years. I always choose "custom" installation and strip it to the bare essentials. And then I never trust it, really.
