I tried an experiment that I had read about and wanted to varify the concept.
I had read that if you attach a 3G modem to the "pick-up" arm of a satellite dish where the LNB used to sit the signal would be amplified. I just happen to have an extra Direct TV dish from one of my houses and attached the 3 G Modem, in this case an Alcatel HGP modem and the signal improved by about 300% over it just sitting on my desk. The next thing a have to try is to construct a 5 meter USB cable to place the dish outside in different locations. __________________
