I switched from Comcast to Clear a few months ago because my Comcast would go out regularly especially when it rained. Used to get 20+ on speakeasy. Hadn't tested my speed since I got clear. OM(F)G. 4.18

Alas, at least I don't pay as much for my internet and phone service now, and it really doesn't seem that much slower to me. The real pisser to me though was when I got a new computer cuz I had my old one for over ten years, the gain in speed due to faster innards was totally a wash because I got Vista.

I recently started using sprints Overdrive thingy and finally got off of dial-up that I was using for 5 years. My speed is a blazing 0.42 download and 0.46 upload. I guess I win for the slowest speed so far. That being said, this thing now run like a "spotted a**ed ape" compared to my old dial-up.

Yes, DSL through Comcast. I have Telephone, TV, and Internet from them. But my Internet speed is only standard, I don't pay for additional speed even though that is available.

Dial up is indeed painful.

Your right JDtech, dial up was indeed brutal. Iv'e got 3G at the moment, but 4G will soon be available in my area and I'm looking forward to the increased speed.

Depends on the time of day, sometimes I could roll a cigarette and half smoke it before a page loads.
