I use this in photograpy for "light-painting" an object because these put out a daylight temperature light, of 5500 to 6000 Degrees Kelvin. But it is really more of a survival-type flashlight, and the one I take "just in case".
It is the Heliotek Model HTE-1. http://www.heliotekinc.com/Products.htm ![]()

This spotlight is extremely lightweight and compact, yet has a powerful, super bright beam. The Ni-Cd rechargeable battery and two Xenon bulbs combine to provide the ultimate high-intensity beam. Features: Constructed of tough ABS plastic with pistol grip handle Easily switches from one beam to two for adjustable brightness ON/OFF trigger switch for momentary bursts of light Lock button for extended ON times LED indicator that turns off automatically when fully charged Convenient metal bracket for hanging or storage 120-volt AC charger that operates from a standard wall outlet 12-volt DC charger/adapter for recharging from a cigarette light receptacle |
