Searching for a great microphone for voice-over or other applications is tough--there are a ton of choices. I've spent a good bit of time this morning listening to this guy's YouTube channel. He compares before your eyes (and ears) a bunch of good microphones. Could make choosing the right one a lot easier.

We have a Fender Passport 250 Portable Sound System and are using a Fender P51 mic for when my wife either performs in public, or at home for recording sessions.
The Fender P51 although not expensive, has always done a good job. This is a review from WorkingDJ.com: Quote:

Thanks. I'm looking now at the Electro Voice RE20.

I fave a Fender mic that I use to record my piano so I can hear what I've played and critique afterwards and it's great.
For use with my PC (video-chat, and French Language Training) I use a Logitech USB headset with microphone that was inexpensive, works well and meets my needs. I am considering replacing it with a wireless headset for no other reason than I already have too many wires to deal with but have just started looking at options there. I have seen some very good user reviews for the wireless Plantronics headset but have not yet checked it out personally.
