Last year I was looking for a way to be able to enjoy my music collection anywhere in the house without having to have a stereo in every room and cart CDs around.
Ideally, I wanted speakers in (almost) every room, and the ability to play whatever I wanted on them. That is, every room could potentially play the same music, or every room could have something different playing. After looking at solutions from a number of vendors, I selected the Sonos Multi-Room music system, I a year later could not be happier with the decision. I purchased two bundles, each one containing 2 ZP100 Zone Players and a Sonos controller, giving me wireless music in 4 rooms. Each Zone Player is an wireless, compact amplifier. All you need to do is plug the Zone Player into an electrical outlet, and connect speakers to the jacks on the back of the unit. To start enjoying music, one Zone Player needs to be connected to the home network. All of the zone players in your home (up to 32 are supported) establish a mesh network and they can be linked to simultaneously play the same music, or each can function independently. I have my entire music collection stored as FLAC lossless on a NAS drive so any song can be listened to anytime, anywwhere inside or outside the house. The Sonos also supports many internet radio stations, as well as Sirius Satellite radio. There are other solutions available from other vendors, but Sonos has been the best fit for me. __________________

Good choice! I looked at that for playing Pandora and my music collection. I only have one room that I needed the wireless sound, so I went with a single unit that doesn't need a controller.
