when adding a new address in Outlook contacts the default is the business address. Is there a way of making the default home address?

Not that I know of. But if you fill in information only for a home address, then that is the information that will show in your contact list.

I did find some information on making the home address the default, but my first attempt at changing it failed.

I will continue to work on it, and if I can get it to work, will post the steps I followed to make the change.
