I do intend to give Linux another try. I have done some reading about Linux, as well as used it for some things, and have read about Mr. Torvalds and about the well known stability of Unix as an OS. I'm old enough now to where I want something stable that will be there year after year and won't require me to upgrade or update things which work perfectly well for my purposes. I intend for Win XP to be the last Windows system I ever get. It is the first stable Win system I've had and it has been pretty good to me on 3 PC systems. But if possible, I would want to install XP on a Linux foundation. I was told by the people who installed the Linux that they could go into Linux to repair the Windows install. However, we moved halfway across the country after it was installed, and we couldn't go back to them to fix the damage and at the time, there was nobody locally that knew Linux.
I will drop in at your site on the web, too! Thanks for the invite!
