I'm glad there are DOS lovers out there! My first computer course was in the mid-70's when we used old fashioned teletypes to communicate with a mainframe computer 250 miles away. You could save programs but they would disappear at the end of each quarter. And then they also taught programming using IBM cards -

a nightmare! After that, an Apple IIe was like going to heaven!

Switched to IBMs, spent $1700 on an external 200 MB drive for my Toshiba 1000, and I was on my way.
